Foundries and metalcasting facilities are long familiar with the use of Silica mesh fabric as an effective molten metal filter, along with its ability to create significant operational cost-reductions when utilized as a runner-segmentation & de-risering aid.  However, higher temperature applications can create problems with fabric deflection or breakage if not properly planned for.  For these higher temperature applications, Comanche developed CerraFlex.  This revolutionary new refractory filter technology extends the benefits of Silica mesh fabric to metalcasting applications with significantly higher molten metal pour temperatures such as steel and increases the overall strength of the filter to withstand higher throughput volumes.  CerraFlex is available in different mesh sizes (1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 2.5mm) and in either custom cut pieces or large sheets that can be cut on-site by foundry customer personnel as needed.  Need more information or ready to place an order?  CONTACT US
